House Bill 62, also known as the Alex Brown Memorial Act named in honor of a young Texan who lost her life while texting and driving in 2009, made its way out of committee, was approved by the Texas House and Senate, and has now been signed into law by Texas Governor Greg Abbott as of Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
